This is the first 2024 event in a series of presentations entitled “Local Issues? Local Strategies!” sponsored by the Greene County Democratic Party. The series started in 2023. All the presentations are free and open to the public and aim to educate and inform participants about civic issues of local importance.
GCDP Chair Kim McCarthy hopes the sessions attract new voters and emerging local leaders to invest in our county and communities, adding “So many people don’t know much about basic aspects of our government services, and haven’t gotten a chance to hear directly from county leaders about their important and necessary work. Without a bigger picture, people too often see the government as their worst experience with it. People who vote need to be well informed.”
Future presentations are being planned, so your ideas for speakers and topics are welcome. Please contact kristamagaw@gmail.com with any questions about the event or with ideas for future presentations.
