Right after our meeting for those who are able we will canvassing for Democratic candidates near by. Than will end with a social meet-up at a local restaurant. So hopefully you can join us for some or all planned activities. More details upon sign up. Hope to see you there! Click on https://www.mobilize.us/mobilize/event/654634/ to register.

Nothing should stand in the way of Ohioans making their voices heard!

Another one! this is what they do!! Throw one bad bill after another to try to overwhelm objections. During busy December! More voter suppression, with new amendments this week to HB 458 , the old HB 458 is now the horrible Sub HB 458 probably worse than HB 294.

Go to https://actionnetwork.org/letters/no-on-hb-458-stop-strict-photo-id to see the bullet points and submit your letter!

The first 3 provisions are the worst. Terrible new strict ID requirements, removing the option to vote provisionally with the last 4 of your social (if there is an issue with your ID or you forgot it), and requiring that absentee ballots be not only be postmarked the day before election day, BUT THAT THEY BE RECEIVED AT BOE BY ELECTION DAY! (currently there are 10 days to allow for slow mail, etc). The action link sends an email and only takes a minute. Please do it. Perhaps the outcome of the Georgia senate runoff is adding fuel to the R’s voter suppression fury.

This song doesn’t change either

We are your people, locally. If the direction this state is going disturbs you, then let that motivate you to join us and start working with us to create the community we want to see.

That doesn’t happen in DC.

It doesn’t happen in Columbus.

It happens in Beavercreek, Fairborn and Xenia.

We are fighting for your rights, every day.

Email us at greeneohdems@gmail.com to come on board. 💪🇺🇲❤️

From our Chair

It’s just 8 days and counting until the election day of 2022. Each race is as critical as the next – Democrats MUST win up and down the ballot in order to restore accountability to our democracy! Thank you for your role, be it big or small, in helping to make that happen. There are still ways to help, they are detailed below. Please give what you can – we can’t leave anything on the table! With that in mind, please sign up for as many canvassing shifts as you are able to – all able bodies should be out there now, talking to our neighbors.

I’d like to thank the Precinct Captains for their hard work over the past few months. Our party would be NOTHING without them, and their coordinated efforts this election are unprecedented. I look forward to celebrating them and others at our Volunteer Appreciation party at the Wandering Griffin on December 2nd. I invite you to join me – whether you helped a little or a lot – or even if you are wanting to help us in the future – this night is for YOU!

Until then, keep pushing until November 8 – our democracy needs you!

With gratitude,

Kim McCarthy
